In every episode, our team of ruthless, yet talented experts will help homeowners dramatically transform two areas in their house from disaster areas to functional, stylishly organized living spaces. Clean Sweep is an emotionally charged yet comedic hour of television. We’ll pit husbands against wives – mothers against daughters – girlfriends against boyfriends – or roommate against roommate. Each housemate will choose a room (of the other’s domain) that they feel needs a complete organizational makeover. Then, it’s an anything goes game of non structural renovation that is bound to be very personal. We’ll show dramatic room transformations, offer great organizational solutions, share time-saving cleaning tips, reveal money saving shopping tactics, present do-it-yourself home projects, confront (and try to change) the psychology of the “offenders,” toss out the trash and throw one hell of a yard sale to make a little pocket money in return. The Team Our Clean Sweep Team is sensitive yet firm as they help people to part with their useless items, tough-love them into getting organized, teach them the difference between trash and treasure and provide money, time and sanity saving systems to change the homeowners’ lives. Host – Our host is your guide to the world of organizational design. She’ll lead our couple along their journey from chaos to control. This “tough but fair” leader drives the show along and helps our couple explore their own path to order. Organizational Expert – a spatial planner and problem solver who isn’t afraid to get their hands dirty. He/she works with the couple to find the hidden reasons for their current state of disarray. By forcing our participants to face their long ignored mess, our organizer helps the couple make the tough calls about their things. Each show uses one expert – from a rotating pool – and shows they are each part therapist, part task master, and all heart. Designer – What good is getting rid of your stuff if it just goes back into the same boring rooms? Our designer – drawn from a pool of talented individuals – works in close harmony with our organizer to create a new system that will inspire and delight our participants. Their specially tailored designs are created to help the couple maintain their new streamlined spaces long after the Clean Sweep Team has gone. Carpenter – From bookcases to entertainment centers, chairs to picture frames, if it’s made of wood it’s all good to this hunky handyman. Whether it’s fixing a broken table leg or making a footstool from scratch, this all purpose Mister Fix-It has the talent and experience to put the designers plans into action. |
